Hi All,
I have an EF GLi and while the idea of boost sounds fantastic I'd like to do something else A quick look through the forum using the search function revealed precious little on the subject of a High Compression N/A I6. Would would I need to achieve at least a 10:1 Compression ratio? Shave the head & the block? Au Head gasket? Is there longer rods and domed pistons available for this motor? Any info that anyone has would be very much appreciated PS: I'm new to all this so be gentle |

Hey mate
Have a chat with this bloke, he is trying to make the most powerful NA and has been doing all kinds of things with compression. He has a decent build thread on AFF as well the-garage-f53/trav199-bf-n-a-xr6-330rwhp-t99170.html Cheers Phil

you don't want to make the stroke any longer, its already long on these motors, some lumpy tops butterfly cut to suit shave the head not the block, go too far and you will run into chain slap issues though. This will get the comp up. depends how far you want to go.
Cam and head work will complement it or destroy it.
