Im pretty sure falcon cats are only 2 1/4" ... so it even though the falcon cats flow really well, it would be pointless putting them onto a 2 1/2" system ...

But a lot of people have done it, and seem to be happy with it .. just depends on how much you wanna spend ...

You cut the 2 1/4" flangers off, cut the cat back a bit and weld on some 2 1/2" ones. Then your Falcon cat becomes 2 1/2". I wouldn't put a 2 1/4" cat onto my 2 1/2" system.

I just got 4480 pacemakers and a lukey 2.5 exhaust like four days ago i also got a hi flo cat because my old one was totally burn't out (ie nothing inside what-so-ever). The guy who was fitting it for me said that we could just use the old one but i decided i better do my bit for the environment and i got a new one.

Matti - Alot of tint joints are like that. Fast and effecient.pfft I got mine done by tint a car. They guranteed that if there were problems they would fix it immediately. When I first jumped in there, there were a few air bubbles. They eventually went about 3-4 days later.

I'm not going to bother with the hi-flow i think. Heard they make sweet bugger all difference in sound and performence. Heard you can even lose the power? If my cat is f**k, maybe AU if at exhaust shops.

So has anyone come to a conclusion?

I'm getting som PH4480's soon, my car already has a 2 1/2" cat back already and the odometer reads the better part of 130,000.

Should I just get the cat moded to suit the 'stractors or buy a new cat (au maybe), or get a new hi-flow?
