Hi again.
I was just about to replace the High Pressure Hose that goes from Power Steering Pump to Steering Rack. I noticed the nut size is 17mm on the power steering pump end and 19mm on the steering rack end. Normal 19mm open spanner will fit but there is no room to move it as the apnner is hard up again the adjacent nut / pipe. Cant put a shifter on it either. Any advice how to undo nut from steering rack end? Maybe 19mm pipe spanner, similar type for brakes (flared ends)? Cheers, Peter |

The adjacent nut has another pressure hose attached and I'm trying to avoid that unless need be.

You know you can just replace the end fitting that goes into the pump!! I did this yesterday and yes it works. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... K:MEWNX:IT

It's the return hose and isn't high pressure. However if you do remove it, best to replace the o-ring as well while it's out.

Phongus,
Yes, good idea. Lucky for me I have not started on it as yet but will be doing so next week along with springs, lower and upper control arms, shocks, disc and hubs....all will be renewed and or replaced due to worn components , sagged springs, stuffed bushes, warped disc etc. All go go go next week, dont know how long it will take me but it has to be done before my next 5 hour drive. Cheers |
