Not no oil but my oil level was on the first ok mark, it still makes a noise but no where near as loud, and the noise sounds normal anyway

Well the noise is way quieter, and is only there on start up, once its warm it's pretty much gone.

Go for a bigger throttle body (A MUST). You will notice a differance, i did.
A bigger cam shaft will make you loose power at low rpm. That's standard.
If you deside to port your head just go very mild with it. Again a bigger port job will make you loose low rpm aswell. This cam comes on mid to top rpm. I think it was FordFairmont that has tried the 977b & the 1521a cams. The 1521a cam made 2 rwkw extra but lost in torque the 977b cam had way more torque. Anyway a j3 chip is good as gold aswell.
Good luck with all extra mods & Don't forget :D GO FORDS:D
