Hey guys, have any of you seen this?

The weld has broken and there is now a hole in the headers. When revving you can see blue flames through the hole, and it backfires a lot, also sounds like crap.

Is this something that will be able to be fixed up and re-welded?

cheers

YES,but may have to remove the plate and oxy weld the holes, but i wonder how thick the pipe is at that point.the thinner it is the harder to weld.

Yea it must be pretty thin... Which surprises me... I'm hoping it can be fixed because I don't have the cash to get another set, not that I would want to now.

worst case is to split a pipe in half and cover it over, and weld it up.i get mine ceramic coated,no wear and less heat.but expensive

Will do...

By the way, how bad is it for the engine running it with the hole? Will the reduced back pressure damage the exhaust valves?

I had exactly the same thing happen to my pacemakers. Must be a common weakness. Take your car to the local exhaust shop. Mine was welded up for $20 (I had them remove the badge though).
