im thinking of putting a 3.5' pipe from the bumper-bar leading into the air box of my brothers ef fairmont, just to gain more air flow.
has any one done this before and is it worth doing (power wise)?
ive all ready put a k & n pannel filter au tickford snorkel and going to install a mandrel bent intake pipe.

It ain't gunna do any harm.
As for a noticable gain, I doubt it.
And ebfore anyone says you'll get water in the engine, there dreaming, the engine doesn't suck hard enough through tubing that size to suck water all the way up.

low ghia that looks real good, just wanted to no is the long bumpy pipe flexable or solid?
cause i tried getting the shape of which the piping is gonna be and its all over the place with alot of bends.

its semi flex- it holds the shape that u bend it into..its clamped and held in place all the way from the bumper hole , under the car and up into the airbox.

and for anyone wondering NO PROBLEMS with water at all. surprising since the suction at the bumper is bloody good.. all painted black so it dosent stand out when u pop the bonnet.
if u look just under the radiator hose you can see where it goes into the airbox

I done mine 4 or 5 years ago in my EF, i went straight down through the bottom of the airbox, i bought a 75 mm stainless fitting and used a hole saw through the box and skirt.
Mine was non ABS so it was easy, but the difference was definately noticable, more so than any snorkel that i fitted, inc Tickford and Aunger.
