Pretty sure that CFI pump body is black and MPFI is silver.

Is this something you attack thru the boot or from under the car?

Is there a benifit from throwing in a higher pressure unit, or is that really only good for high rev's if it's starving?

Just checked on a few pumps I have around and it seems that all my CFI ones have black plastic bodies and MPFI have silver bodies. I have spoken with a number of people in the motor trade about fitting a MPFI pump to my CFI wagon. All have said similar things like "Can't see why not" and "fuel pressure regulator should take care of any probs"

The only thing I can see as a possible prob is blowing hoses off filter etc as these are only clamped on whereas MPFI has screw on connectors. Just keep an eye on things like that for a while and make sure you don't have any leaks.
