As the title suggests.

I am wanting to install remote start into a BA, but not sure on how to do this. From reading, I can see that it is not exactly an easy task.

I am really hoping some of you out there can help me out!

Cheers!
Braiden.

I can't tell you exactly how you would do this, but I would say you're not going to be 'bypassing' the smartlock, more incorperating it.

The button you press to remote start the car will have to send the unlock signal, and the immobiliser signal that is in your key, before initialising the ignition sequence..

Find someone that has some knowledge in electronics, they should be able to figure it out..

Good Luck

Happy Motoring

some people do it by having another smartlock barrel plugged in to the car under teh steering column

Try PetroJect
they make the modules to bypass smartshield

I know how to bypass Smartlock, but will that same method work with Smartshield?

Nope smartshield has a few other smart tricks, where as with an ef or el if i wante dto steal one id just break into your car and connect my spare barrel and key and leave it on for a hour for smartlock to learn the code.
Where as smartshield needs to be taken to ford to be reprogrammed

Like i said try petro ject they will probably do something
I think they are in braeside
