Hey guys just wondering how I get the distributor off an El falcon? It appears to be just one clamp? Does the manifold have to be removed?
Cheers Zac

no just remove the airbox to make things easier for urself. unplug the tfi module plug then remove the dizzy cap following the bracket and bolt holding it in place then it should just pop straight out by pulling it out so it comes out towards the back of the engine you will understand what I mean when ur at it. removing the dizzy cap will make it a lot easy to get out as it allows that extra bit of room. oh make sure ur timing is at TDC. first piston should be at the top and ur rotor button should be facing towards the finish mark. someone correct me if im wrong on that one.

Yep, as above making sure that the engine is at TDC cylinder #1 on the COMPRESSION stroke. If it is the rotor will be pointing at the FINISH mark, nearly.
I replaced mine recently. Make sure you get the timing right when you put it back. Excessively retarded timing can give unexpected results and flames (nearly).
