1. Get a really loud stereo system
2. Play a cd with v8 supercar sounds recorded onto it
3. Change your driving habits to match the stereo sounds so onlookers wont mistake that original v8 sound.

why do so many people want there 6's to sound like an 8. I love the sound of the 6, get a decent exhaust and will have a real nice tone and raw when revving. in saying that, the 8 sounds awesome too but they both are two different nice sounding engines

my car sounds as good as or better than a V8.... I get asked what 8 is in it all the time..

3 inch outlet from the genie extractors.. to 3 inch magnaflow cat.. to 2.5 mandrel exhaust with one straight though muffler.. when you put the boot in, that baby is deep and loud.. doesn't' sound all that V8ish at idle though.. At the front end.. you can't really hear the motor over the induction noise anyway.... :-)

it doesn't sound like my lumpy worked 351, but it still sounds pretty hot.. maybe I'll try to record it..

i cant understand how anyone could think that a i6 or v6 no matter how hot it is sounds like a v8 :? they just dont sound the same. if you want that great v8 rumble better start saving for a xr8 insted of an exhaust :)

there is still a difference, and personally a nice old skool v8 rumble is the best.

Have had several different ppl say what size v8 is under the hood for mine though, always make me wish i had the v8 in it already

The old XC's with a certain type of extractors and twin pipes sound exactly like a V8 below about 3000rpm.
