Buy a universal 6cyl single fogger kit from NOS for about $900. spend the rest on a full exhaust system. and see if you can get WADE CAMS to grind the 1673 cam in reverse (use the exhaust lobe on the intake side and the intake lobe on the exhaust side.

Jet the fogger for 100hp and retard the ignition timing by 4 degrees. that will get you there. and it'll last longer then you'd think

Like i said, it can be done

Only muckin around, my XG is good for around 2 x 50 kw runs I reckon but nothin a rebuid wouldnt fix. She's got 360,000 up now would love to get to 400 before I do it. Goes OK just valve guides are pretty worn and its speed restricted (go over 95 for too long and a lifter drops out)

i think it mayb be possible to get 220rwkw done if you had amazing amounts of head work done. or mayb even stroked/bored (if it can b done on a i6). of course still need to have a sweet cam grind and good custom tune.

all of this costs money. alot more then 3 k

There was a bloke in geelong pulled 199kw.

"it was all done at chip torque, it had a 1521a cam with lobe centers changed slightly, speedway modified head with cleveland 2v valves and highly modified chambers , isky valve springs , cnc ported inlet and exhaust ports, bbm with 80mil throttle body , pacemaker 4480s with 3 inch flange and diesel cat, modified xf dizzy with crane fireball ignition, fairly standard bottom end with acl rebuild and block was decked to 0 ,also had rodbolts as it was gona be reved a lot, motor was built as a dyno mule it was a pig to drive only had power from 4000 to 6200 under that it was dead but it made some good numbers"

Would probably just be cheaper to go forced, This is probably the most powerful 4.0 sohc that I have seen dyno sheets from and that didn't even crack 200. I would say either open your wallet or lower your aim.

exactly, $3000 wouldn't even buy the parts to build the engine, let alone assemble it.
not to mention developing the supporting hardware.

Has anyone noticed the trend on here lately? First someone wanted 300rwkW N/A and we blew them out of the water. Now they have lowered their expectation to 220kW and we have still blown them out of the water due to their unreasonable costing. Maybe one day they just might set themselves reasonable targets which balance performance and price.
