i searched but didnt find a 100% answer....
how hard is it to install serpentine belt system to eb engine?? are the blocks the same on eb/ ef el??? |

as far as i am aware the block is the same, dont quote me 100%on that though

All the accessories have differences . . .
Once you've thought about that, you might also need to fit a timing cover to suit, or get really creative. I should know but can't quite recall exactly. I've only gone the other way. Maybe other mods too. The block isn't exactly the same, but that may not be a problem. The three belts are fine if you do the maintenance; new belts when needed, etc. Are you planning to fit thermo's? You can do this while keeping the three belts.

yes the ef/el serpentine parts will bolt straight onto a ea/eb/ed.
the blocks are the same in the acessorie mount department.(except au is different) and the belt tensioner bolts through the timing case into the block.(you just need to use the serp tensioner bolts from the ef) so you dont need to worry as the bolt pattern on the timing case is the same also.. the only differences in the timing case is for the ef crank angle sensor(coil pac ignition).. which you dont need to worie about when using the serp belt on eb... the only problem is if your using the eb log manifold you need a xh ute belt tensioner.. |

I said this in reference to an EL block versus EB, i don't know about the EF block.
