bout 2.5 kangaroo's.... i seriously need to get out of the country....
bloody heavy, 99% of engine cranes should move one though. |

unfortunately more than you can lift on your own unless you want HEMMAROIDS ha ha ha old mates right about 200 kgs

About what I thought... I'm picking up a spare engine on Saturday. The guy has a crane to get it on the trailer, but it looks like I'm going to have to invite a mate or two over to get it off....

the problem with moving them by hand is not only the weight, but the fact 3 people run out of places to hold on very quickly... would be much easier if you can make friends with someone who has an engine crane...

Take a chain,
long steel pole and a few bolts(might not have lifting points) and eye shackles / padlock. im not a member of oh+s :P

If you have an engine stand I came up with a creative way to unloading an engine on your own. The pictures speak for themselves...

you could do what that guy did a while bac, saw a pic. towed it on a fridge trolly!

i manhandled mine off a trailer onto a engine stand.
fairly tough, specially when the sump (that i was told was empty) decided to empty its self on to the floor. the old pluggers didnt take to kindly to walking in oil
