I was getting 380 to a tank in my 5.0, so i think something is very wrong haha. I have no idea on checking them, but i replaced mine anyway, better to be 100% sure than not.

yer the bfs are fantastic on fuel, my bf doubles the economy of my ea, i wouldn't be to concerned bout the range, mine said 350 kays before i left for syndey the other day n it still said 270 when i got there after a 200kay drive. it changes as you go. on the way back i reset everythin and returned low 9's per 100k over the whole highway journy.

Wow you all get such s**t economy!

My standard BF Mont gets an average of 10l per 100, and my fairly warm EB Mont I6 gets the same.

This is with a 60/40 mix of highway/round town driving! Even giving my EB a bootful every now and then i still get atleast 600 per tank!!

I get easy over 650k every time I fill up... Mostly more..

When I was driving the HWY I recon I got nearly 800 from a tank, I was drafting a van for about 200ks of the trip but from what I worked out on the clock I got about 789kms on 98oct in my EF

my old EF 11 XR8 man sedan used to get 600 highway cruising - was standard apart from full exhaust and CAI, never got better than 300 round town.
my new BF MK 11 XR6T man ute best was 720 highway (stage 1 tune and CAI), averages 450 - 500 round city. havent been able to get new figures yet with the stage 3
