How much oil does a 4.0 EF take? Got to change the oil on mum's tommorow to check for a suspected head gasket..

technically 5.5L IIRC
a 5L bottle generally puts it close enough.

depends on how punched in the sump is... 5 does mine nicely.
(has second thoughts bout au conversion)

I used about 5 - 6Ls...so 5.5Ls...I only poured 4L in yesterday :S bit short but I'll top it up when I Get back home from QLD.

the sump holds 5ltrs and the oil filter holds .5ltr all up 5.5ltr will put you exactly where you want your oil level too be.

I think it is 5.5 litres also. but to make sure you could catch the old oil and measure it.

the book for mine says 6 litres,,but i have yet to actually put 6 in it,,even with a filter change,so go by the dip stick and add as needed
