Very interesting fella's.....Did use know that one of the reason Diesel cars are so popular in Europe is because they don't use a Throttle Body (AFR is increased at the Injector pump/Throttle cable) they have considerably less idle loads or piston pumping on downward strokes as the crankcase is not restricted by a PCV or a restriction in the intake.
They do still recirculate gases/fumes into the manifold for emissions, but theres no need for a PCV, as its an open system. In city driving (excessive idling) they're up to 30% more econmical. Now i've been thinking about removing the internals in my PCV as i'm on LPG so it's pretty emissions clean already and it'll be a good little mod!
Have'nt yet tried it, might go out and do it now tho!!! :P

let me know how you go with stripping the guts outof the pcv, ive been thinking about it for some time now
