Ok history lesson here i used Rust Converter on my Extractors i bought used which were rust and then i used a Flame Proof paint on the Extractors but the rust converter could not take the heat and started flaking off and took the Flame Proof coating with it, now i want to respray them but i have a few questions which are
Should i use the Flame Proof paint again it says allow 7 days to cure does that matter? Because i want to be able to do it in a day What paint did others use? Is it easy to take the Extractors off which detaching the exhaust? (eg: does it bolt off the cat easily) and is that all? Also i wanna clean the side of the head while the Extractors are off what is the best way to do it?

All i done was go over the headers well with sand paper spray em with water then get a rag and clean up with thinners. I painted mine with heat proof paint and put them on stright away and worked well.

I sprayed my brand new pacceys 4480. I used wax & greese remover, brake clean & sprayed them with vht mat black heat proof paint. Left them for 24hrs in the sun. Put them on my engine & they peeled off straight away. I got so p****d off i got them ceramic coated & never looked back.
Not only that they look great but alot less heat in the engine bay aswell.
