Hi Everyone,
Yesterday i finally got my car back on the road after two months, drove it for about 30 mins all was sweet usual fluids where empty has a bad oil leak, took about 4L oil, 2 litres cooland, and power steering was empty. This morning went to take it to work and the power steering felt funny. Popped the bonnet took the cap off and there was a nice milky oil in there! Im assuming its water thats got in there, how the hell does that happen?? More importantly how do i fix it? All help would be appreciated. Thanks |

Milky or foamy - which can look the same. Foamy fluid is it being full of air bubbles.
It will usually be foamy and feel s**t until all the air is purged from the system, which can sometimes take a day or 2. Unless you have a leak somewhere. |

are we talking milky colour in power steering or engine oil?
If power steering, find and fix leak, then purge system for air, as said above. If engine oil, welcome to the wonderful world of headgaskets for 4ltrs.

opps i read the post proper........
if power steer undo the return line and get a container run the engine for a while so basically all the air comes out (may need to top up resevor)
