How would you convert the from these old terminals to the new one?
The old terminals have the wires clamped on by some sort of lug. The new terminals have a screw on type arrangement see pics below OLD TERMINAL Attachment: NEW TERMINAL Attachment:

undo the 10mm nut on the bolt, remove the 2 lugs. Put the new terminal on the battery terminal. Now place the 2 lugs over the threaded bolt and tighten down the wing nut.......
cheers............

check bonnet clearance first, IMO I wouldn't have chosen the ones with wing nuts, cause of this possiblity...
I have put "other" tpye on both mine and the missus car. just get a screwdriver to spread the exisiting clamp off the wires and just neaten them up and place in new clamp.

by the looks of his pics he will need the eyelets because they will go straight on the thread the wingnut is on. I would only cut them off if he had the other type.

I would just simply return the ones you brought and get these but with the nut fitting not the screw type

I would just cut it off with a hacksaw or the fast way i did was use an angle grinder !
As for the material Gold is the best but expensive ! Next best thing is Copper followed by Aluminum !
