Hi Guys,

can somebody help me out degreeing in a camshaft in 250 crossflow. I have bottom end all installed no head so easy to do TDC. Camshaft is a camtech CT 142 528. I am using crow double row timing set with increments + and _ from 0 2 4 6 8 I have degree wheel and dial indicator. I don't understand most of stuff on the cam card but I think the important bit is it says Lift at TDC 0.078" My basic understanding is Find TDC Set timing gears up in standard position, set dial indicator up on lifter installed onto inlet lobe and from here I am not exactly sure how to proceed. do I just rotate engine round to TDC again and read dial indicator or is it more technical than that. If I move cog to plus 6 for argument sake do I need to wind engine over till I have indicator on the dead center of the back of inlet lobe and then set up indicator and rotate to TDC and take reading. I hope this makes sense. any and all advice appreciated.
