how do you do a self diagnostic on an eb??? does anyone know? if not can u plz send some links form sites that might have info

Try reading the EF/EL EEC-V EEC diagnostic. Same procedure, except the codes in the EB are 3 digit, not 2 (or maybe its the other way round..)

Let us know what codes you get, and I'll give you the meanings.
