I've removed the torque converter along with the engine (transmission fluid spilled out). Do I have to fill the converter before refitting? or will topping up the box be enough?

Basically lay the convertor on it's back and top it up... It'll still have a lot in it, but it's always good to fill them before fitting.

those things hold a fair amount of fluid. If you are putting new fluid in, leace it in a bucket so i can drain for a few hours. Its what we did at the wreckers.
