did a search and couldn't find this covered,interested on finding out the specs of my cam, previous owner had it installed but was unclear on specs.is there anyway to work out what it is without removing it?its not a hassle but i need to re-seat my valves and was gonna get a bigger cam but wanna know what mine is to get a reference. cheers

Cam grinders usually stamp or mark the cam in some way indicating the profile. If there is nothing to go on you can use a dial indicator and a degree wheel to measure the specs.

hey stock just a quick question slightly off topic but rather than start another thread,my car blows smoke when using the engine to brake down a hill with no throttle open,this is the valve seats right?just thought id check before doing it all.thanks mate

smoke on deceleration is usually a valve stem problem.
