ok tired boiling water but nothing so my mums partner and myself cut the hose and then it finally came off the lower housing. the new hose went on the water pump fine but the lower radiator section is a real b**ch to get on because you have to psychically stretch it over the hole ! I hope the leaking has stopped will take it for a drive in a minute !

Hey guys i am having an issue with what i am led to believe is the lower radiator hose ! Lately it has been dripping and losing coolant over a period of time and today i got back from driving it and the coolant is dripping much more and faster i had a look and coolant is now coming out from around the band which i think either means the hose it worn on the clamp is buggered !

It is the hose that goes from the bottom of the radiator, under the power steering pump and into the side of the head i know the part that goes into the head just comes off with undoing the clamp but how on earth do you take off the bottom half going into the block?

there should be a hose clamp holding it together

sometimes, if you force it further on the outlet, a little coolant leaks out and lubricates the hose. then it comes off really easy.
