Once the list is released with vehicle details for the 7th or 14th Auction, and I find a suitable FG XT I'll probably pop a pre-auction bid in, just to see if I can even get one for around 10k (it's always feasable lol) Just put minimum 10k, max 14k or something.

too easy, i researched the FG 6spds a fair bit when looking for a car........... and ended up with a bitsaremissing

i feel a bit stupid by telling you to go to pickles etc. when most of the gov cars are at the zillmere auctions

you wont be able to bargain much at all pre auction, they pretty much want market value until the auction day. Even then anything silly will be passed on, and tried again at the next auction.

i seen a couple police packs a few months ago with 50-60 thou km's advertised at a dealer called 'new line autos' for 15k, so take away the profit margin you know they can be had cheap enough buying direct

Well pickles auctions are only 20km also, both are brisbane based so either works fine for me :)

Well, it also gives you ideas for your FG too Josh! For EG. When I do the exhaust you might like the sound or might not etc, and you know what to steer towards or away. I'm thinking first up though, is get rims. A nice set of 18's, and then lower it so it's just about to tuck some rim. Highly un practical for driveways etc, but looks sexy as all f**k rofl

I know right, will be handy having someone doing the same sorta stuff as me near by. I'm looking for rims now... No luck on budget 18's. have to stick with the 17's for now... Just gotta finish patching them. Then sound system... Then engine sound lol

found a 2010 model....... 16,900 drive away. A little steep, looks to be bought from the public trustee auctions 4 weeks ago, now for sale @ brisbane motor group or whatever they are.

Well, I've decided to not wait... I can deal with not having the ZF (even though it's a great box). If I really want a ZF later on down the track, I'll sell / trade for it. But right now, I just want an FG... so when I get an afternoon free this week, I'm going to go and have a look at http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/detai ... ock&items=[Series:FG,Make:FORD,Model:FALCON]&sort=~Price

If I get it, first things first; take that hideous bar off the front... it makes me won't to gouge my eyes out lol
