Keep using HPR 15 until you get over 200,000ks then go HPR 30.

stick with 15 ubless u got some noises.

i recently did a service, first since buyin the el, used penrite 15/40 gas as we used it on the taxi since new and there is no noise in engine, but it gave a rattle when engine was at runin temp, so i went into autobarn and got penrite hpr gas 20/60, they didn't have any 20/50 gas oil.

my quetion is, is this oil ok or not no more noise in engine but the seals r startin to sweat abit more nothin serious (shouldn't have gotten less as the oil is thicker?), or should i use another oil.

The knock at startup is do to poor oil filter design.. Get a ryco or genuine motocraft one.

HPR 30 is way to think to be using in a Eseries car such as an EL stick with HPR 15 its a good blend and its semi-synthetic to :) Get a decent filter as well.

I was using HPR 30 with my XF and a K&N oil Filter, worked fine pretty quite most of the time. :)

why?

mine has 205000km on it and i use HPR10 with no problems.
the amount of kms an engine has done has no bearing on the amount of wear in the engine.

it's maintinence or lack of that kills them

Thats what Penrite recommended when I emailed them. I was going off their recommendation. They're the oil experts.

and i'm the engine expert.

using oil that is to thick is just as bad as too thin

you can't recomend oil with out seeing the engine run
