Hey all

I have a Hybrid EL Ghia and just wondering what cam i should get as i've been told that the normal eseries cams will not fit and i need to run an au cam?!?!?!.

i tried to use the search function but it currently seems to be down so sorry if this has been asked 1001 times

i contacted wade and they gave me these 4 cams to select from.

AU1502
AU1645
AU1671
AU6-1388c

as far as i can see( from wade forums) the 1502au is like the au version of the 1636

just wondering if anyone has run any of the other ones and their opinions on them or anything different all together.

thanks

hey mate i have the 1502Au cam, its gives it alot more torque through mid range and seems to pull harder all the way to redline. I cant tell if any down low has been lost at all. I have bought a 1671Au cam aswell but im waiting to save abit because i want to change my diff gears to somthing shorter because i think it will be doughy downlow.

Cheers

Slightly off topic and my apologies for hijacking this thread, but....

Has anyone on this forum, with an AU, fitted a performance cam of any kind, to an AU with the standard AU ECU, and achieved the desired performance gain by just resetting the ECU via disconnecting the battery? I'm not talking about using Unichips or other tuning methods.

PS. I don't think it's appropriate for me to respond to the initial post by BlueOvalChick.

AU II VCT (VCT not hooked up, AU stock cam used for regrind, you will be getting my VCT cam soon to regrind)with a CMS Stg 111, modified motor, ie 11:3 comp, ported head, extractors, sports exh, k&n Panel filter, 140kw @the treads on CMS's Dyno. Running 98 petrol for that run but running LPG otherwise with 136 at the treads. Am planning doing an edit some time in the future as Im lead to believe I can get better results.
BTW the AU motor is in a EL but running AU ECU and loom

if i recall right, you can fit a E series cam into a AU head, or 96dd/dA head, but using the EF rockers, that fit, but not very well, I've head of people breaking rocker arms, or worse ...

Laticia .
