ok, about 2 weeks ago i nticed an idle problem, when i pull up the lights (or any time i put my foot on the clutch and off the accl.) the revs go down normal speed to 2000rpm, then very slowly to 1500rpm, then they sit there for 10 seconds up to 30 seconds THEN finaly drop to 800rpm,
sometimes this final drop is quick, sometimes slow, and i have only noticed it when the engine is warm. today i took off the ISC and cleaned is (sprayed inside with crc, tapped it on paper towel and let to dry, then used cotton tips to try and clean as much crap as i could out of the two holes on throttle body) anyway this still didnt work. what else could it be/or try?

well possibly there is a vacume leak, or a faulty sensor or the isc is faulty or is sticking did u spray any silicon spray after u cleaned it? as using a cleaning agent will dry it out and can make it stick, also try resetting adaptions

which sensor do you think? and thought crc was a lubricant? where could the vac leak be? and what is re-setting sdaptions?

could be any sensor eg cam, map sensor ect. resetting adaptions is just a matter of dc batt for a few hrs so im told. d/c the plug on the isc and see what happens, and even try other sensors to try and locate the fault, with vacume leaks spray a flamble spray eg wd40 ect, around the intake system and if the car idle faster as u spray around the intake then u have found a leak.

The above is the proper way of searching for vacuum leaks. Another check is to disconnect the isc and plave a 0.75mm feeler between the idle adjust screm and throttle. Now rev and see if same thing happens. If so then ISC can be eliminated as the problem (you have just bypassed it).

ok, so this spraying thing, all i do is ilde my car, and spray WD40 around the snorkel, so it gets sucked into the engine, and if the revs rise by themselves then its a vaccume leak.
sounds easy enough, but just courious, how does this prove its a vaccume leak? (im not denying it, im just curious to know)

Nah, you've got it wrong. Spray WD-40 around any/all hoses and anything sealed with a gasket (intake, etc). If revs change then you know exactly where the vacuum leak is.

sounds like you idle sensor is clogged happens all the time just remove it and spray it with carby clean and reinstall
