have you checked for the proper voltage and signals at the appropriate ecu pins for your model?

Did you swap the wiring loom over when you did the manual conversion?
If so did you use the right manual ecu? (not a EF ecu?)
If you kepted the Auto wiring did you do the modifocation to it correctly?
Injectors are proberly blocked also.

ok to answer some questions the manual convertion was done to my EB xr6 and the lume was made for it and have done the nutral safty switch,

the motor cranks but dosnt fire,

the timing is set on the compretion stroke

the cam was put in and the timing chain didnt move as i had 5 cable ties around it.

i have done all the mods before to my eb fairmont and my EB xr6 and havent stuffed them up before. i have done a certifict 1 in mechanics,

but i still cant work out the issue with this car,

im stumped

ok so regards fuel

have you check fuel pump and fuel relay are working (do u have a diagnostics connector in the fuses area?) u need to bridge some terminals to test the fuel electrical circuit...when u do this u should hear fuel flowing in the rail......see this thread http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopi ... lay%20test

then check that the injectors are pulsing (use test light or listen)

for fuel pressure u need a guage and T it into the fuel supply line..

check ign timing with a timing light bought from supa cheap or bunnings

Loosen the Dizzy and have someone try to start the engine while you advance the dizzy as far as it goes than try retard as far as it goes. See what happens if you can get it running then get a timing light on it.

I had this problem when I did the MPI conversion on a EA CPI falcon. Did everything right(top dead centre on no1 compression stroke etc) but there is 2 positions the dizzy will slot into that seem right. 1 cog out caused it to be retarded by a s**t.

I fully advanced the dizzy and just got the car running under 3/4 throttle but nearly stalling. Checked the timing and the mark was right down below the a/c compressor. Pulled the dizzy back out slotted it in again and all good.

Cheers.......

By 5 cable ties, I assume you mean you tied the chain to the sprocket, but did you keep the chain tight as well? If it gets loose, it could have slipped off down the bottom on the crank and be out a tooth.
