Hey guys Im new to the E series falcon scene.. I also have a 1988 MA70 supra making just under 500rwhp that I have basically built single handily.

My falcon is my daily and has LPG.. It had been sitting around for over a year rusting away when i decided to buy it and restore it as a cheap reliable daily. Its got bench seats and has a 4 speed column shift auto box. For a daily its pretty cool and certainly s**t on my old daily which was a 1988 colt RE auto.

Everything is amazingly working fine apart from 2 things:

I believe it has a blown head gasket and Im led to believe that they are notiorous for this because of the head bolts and gasket.. anyone know the average price I would be looking at to get this fixed? I would do it myself but cbf. (I havent been to a mechanic in over 5 years)

The windscreen wipers don't work and it has to be a wiring problem. I need a wiring diagram for a 1991 EA.. Where can I get one?

Im no where near finished detailing it as I just got it regoed today so the exterior still looks dirty and still have to polish the rocker cover.
I have some basic plans for it, just to make it as fuel economical as possible and a nice cruiser.
wish list:
Some 2nd hand wheels (anyone have any for sale in the BNE area?) lol
2.5" mandrel bent cat back
tint the windows
king springs
stereo

Any help and info would be greatly appericated. Thanks.

Anyway heres some pics of my restoration so far and a couple of the supra:

Judging by the interior it looks like it was once an ex-taxi. How many K's has it done?

Headgasket will be close to $1000 if you dont do it yourself.

Maybe only cost you $300-$400 if you do it your self, that would include AU headbolts, AU Metalgasket and getting someone to check and machine the head for you.

Hey man, nice tidy up. I had a red 3spd CFI last year that I sold to a Cop. It was cleaned up by me, and I just had to replace a muffler, couple of trailing arm bushes and it was fine for RWC. Was realiable motoring.. little thirsty tho with the auto. Despite no power other than the already fitted redback, and the KING low's fitted also, with an auto you chould shift anytime you wanted; it was a good cruiser.

I got another EA this year. This ones an S with the multipoint, 5spd and a 2.92 LSD. I did a couple of worthy things straight away, and it's real fun to drive, due to the handling and huge torque increase.

This S was the one I spent a few dollars on, the GL CFi wasn't a good enough starting point for the money somebody could spend on it.. the factory Falcon S with mpfi and 5spd will smash it bigtime.

If it's true man, and it really needs a headgasket.. it would worth starting over on something with a better condition donk in it. Plus the CFi idle problem that never got fixed.. :)

I know this is "just a daily" driver, but we're talking about work and money, so the daily bit doesn't mean anything anymore.

Modified EA's rock tho.. :D

PS: If you are capable.. or better yet, have the tools as well, it could be worthwhile.

nice ea, hehe
personally if i were you i wouldnt bother with a new heah gasket, if you no what your doing just drop a new motor in it. 4.11 gears and a mini spool.
btw do you call that a 6 seater or a 2 seater, techniclly speaking it only has 2 seats
