i tried pliers just then and gave it a fair bit, but honestly felt like i was gonna break something

I took mine out just last night, came out very easily with the pliers.

yeah i wish i could say the same. With my old corolla they used to just pop out using my hands. They must not have been taken out in a long time. I dont want to wreck them either.

Can i ask why you want to take them out?
What i did was just grab a hold of the top half of the plug and gave them a twist and a pull and its out.

Yeah they did notice extra torque and power, and just love the sound. For some reason also of people think that i am running a turbo.

Cool, yeah was just wondering. Sometimes after i have just used my car and then go to start it again it has trouble. Thats part of the reason i want to clean my plugs.
