G'day

Im going down to dynomotive tommorow to get a quote on a cam and some headwork done. I want around 150rwkw mark and if can, i want more. Do you think the headwork and cam alone i would be able to get around that much rwkw?

I want something that will really push me back into the seat and make me go wow lol, is that possible?

If not, what else would i need to do the the car to get more power out of it keeping it NA.

Cheers

i reckon a nice Crescent Motorsport Stage 3 cam and head package would get u over 150rwkw on a standard ECU.

150 should be easy, I know of someone getting well over that out of a 4.1 in an XF, still NA with the weber carb, so shouldn't be a prob in an EL

consider getting your gearbox looked at also, ie serviced, checked for any slipage/extra power loss.

a slightly worn box can be worth ++Kw at the treads...

Is there a cam someone could recommend, that will really give you a kick from about 2500-to redline? And give a nice power increase

cheers, Yea i found that out when i got it serviced a while ago, it went heaps better. I get it serviced every 15,000 now. I have had the AU S5 solinoid put in and a full flush not long ago. Also had a service about 8,000k ago just to make sure my gearbox was still running nice and was good inside.

oh i was talking about his time, but yeah 177rwkw is s**t loads from a stock head. Im pretty sure the EL hybrid and the AU head flow the least though.

Apparently the EB head flows the best. Not sure if this means a better performance advantage than the EA head, which apparently makes more compression.

from what ive seen id be very surprised at that

side by side the AU is a lot better looking than the EB...
they have 2mm bigger exhaust valves....smaller stem valves (7mm VS 10mm I think) the only downside on the AU is the chamber shrouds the valves a little bit (but that can be ground away easily)
