They would be ok for quick squirts or track, but this will still see daily duties until I get another car, then I can go nuts with it. So I think I need something with a bit more dust filtering.

When they go in would you be able to post up a short vid of them with the car running. Bet they will have a great induction sound 8-)

Gorge road will be my first test run, should be awesome acoustics for a video :D 6 ram tubes and a 2 1/2 straight through should make for a nice symphony.

the 2 1/2" straight through will be quiet in relation to the induction. You will hear every valve open and close... :)
The clevo above is actually quite deafening from in the car

I still have memories of a mate's 2 litre mark1 Escort with twin webbers from 15 years ago, amazing sound. Can't wait.

Mate, that looks awesome!! I'm looking forward to videos

Will be interesting to see which way you go about filtration, it would be such a shame to cover up those sexy ram tubes

Cheers,

Just been in the shed looking at the engine bay, and started to think it would look pretty good to get the headers ceramic coated the same colour as the ram tubes, if they can do an anodized type blue.

Then it would look like the ram tubes continued through the head, or have I had one too many celebratory JD's

Quite possibly too many JD's! I'd go the airbox/plenum route too like that Harrop unit.

it would make more power with the 'right' plenum/airbox over the tubes.
Just make the top of the box out of clear perspex

...see if you can make the airbox out of clear perspex or something...obviously heat proof...will cover rams, expose it's beauty and keep the air clean.

BTW...looks f**k good :D

EDIT: Damn you tickford_6 for being so quick.

I think I need a celebratory JD too!

It would be a crime to cover those ram tubes up with a plenum, a mesh filter has got my thumbs up!
