just looking at your coil wiring, could you make an ally channel and either run it along the top of the rocker cover, or along the left hand side, ie 'holding the coils back' between it, and the r/cover, and run all the wiring within that?
then a screw down cover that goes over that channel thus hiding all the wiring. It would be a bit of work, but you have the skills, and tig :)

See this is why I like forums, ideas!

Just figured it out, alloy U channel 20mm (I have some box I can cut the bottom off) will sit over the plugs & wires and down through the coils and run the length of the coils, it will have cut outs where the coil body is, sort of like the coils were plugged into the alloy rail, box the ends, then just a grommet on the back end with nice heat shrunk wire. Then a couple of brackets off the rocker cover (won't be seen) and it can be secured with a couple of round hex heads down through the top. This will then in effect lock the coils in place from the top, they would be nice and secure.

Coil top mount, looks good IMHO, no wires show, and just the one out the back (haven't finished the back, need to find a grommet) I want to find some nice dome head stainless hex nuts to mount through the top.

Thinking about welding in a thread instead of the PCV, and one at the back, downside is alloy fittings aren't cheap (but look good)

Autoshop was open this morning when I went to bunnings, so I got a thermostat housing and changed the mounting holes so it now faces forward, also needed to weld up the side hole and drill and tap for an elbow.

Should have just bought an EA-ED thermostat upper.

That fitting will be really close to the rocker cover. I had something similar and struggle to get the hose and hose clamp on with the upper housing fitted.

They look what you have but the nipple for the overflow is above the radiator tube. Both outlets face forwards towards the radiator.
