mm... I do know this :( I've left my bike at my gf's many-a-time to avoid the frosty night rides home. But I just can't get enough of hills riding in good weather...

Coffee break time, so I thought I would throw up some pics

Throttle cable at the pedal end.

New balancer and water pump.

Image

Vacuum rail, I will try it there and see how it goes
Image

Engine all back together, cam dialed in, rocker cover, coils & rail fitted
Image

Still plenty of room for an airbox
Image

Ended up going with an ED thermostat housing
Image

ED hose
Image

Still haven't figured out a good spot for the regulator, Air con hoses are in the way where I wanted it (where the wiper fluid bottle was.
Image

Image

This is how the filters will have to run, until I build an airbox
Image

One final one
Image

Throttle works perfectly, good feel right from closed through to full throttle, linkages and return springs work well :D

Left to do: Wiring, the EMS shouldn't be too hard, piggy back the sensors off the standard ECU, injectors and coils have their own separate looms. Wideband controller; trying to find a good place to run it through the firewall (thinking next to the steering column, I have a perfect grommet for it)

Then need to calibrate the air temp sensor, water temp sensor, TPS, and O2 sensor.

Looks like everything is coming along nicely dude, awesome work.

I must say, ITB's really do look at home in the e-series engine bay

There is so much more room without the BBM, Airbox, and associated air intake pipework cluttering things up.

Lot of stuff to hide though, once the engine bay is due for painting, a lot of the stuff will be re-run in the inner guards eg: Air-con lines, vacuum lines, battery cables (battery to the boot)

It's all going through where the original loom comes out top right firewall (really big oval shaped grommet), most of the original loom will be redone to make it neater and get rid of all unused wires.
