Matt and I had a chat about an airbox the other day, I'm going to make one out of alloy but with the top and side out of clear perspex (bolts on so you can get to everything inside), it will bolt on with the ram tubes then have the bottom running two panel filters. Rough estimate it wold hold at least 8 litres.
If all goes well, I should have video this time tomorrow night of it running. I have a good boss that didn't mind me swapping tomorrow for an extra day next week. Tomorrows jobs: Finish wiring EMS, (spent ages getting the wires through with the standard loom, Ford must have had midgets doing the EF wiring) Get the LC-1 wires from drivers side neatly to the glovebox, mount calibration switch in glovebox. Flush cooling system, new coolant. Hook up laptop to EMS Calibrate Water temp sensor (still haven't worked out how to have a boiling pot of water in the engine bay? Maybe the kettle on the ground underneath the car) Calibrate TPS and airtemp sensors, easier Load Fuel and Spark maps Cross everything I have, fingers, toes, nuts.... .....turn the key Got the EMS mounted nicely in the glovebox, two screws and the outer skin of the glovebox comes off, which then allows you to bolt the unit down easily, few grommets to help with vibration, nylock nuts. The coil igniters also fitted, and still left room for the serial cable. I cutout a section at the back of the glovebox, so the loom would fit easier and it also gives the ECU some air. |

It should just be a mater of loading that in when setting up the sensors. at worst i KNOW there is one in there for the EB sensors. (ems is the control ECU for the saloon cars) |

Yep your in luck! there's calibrations already there for the EB water and air temp sensors, Go into the "GoTo menu > Calibrations > Open file.

Are you going to to use internal MAP for load source one (taking a MAP signal from your vacuum rail)? and TPS for load source two? |

I have the map connected, but might run it on TPS until I see what sort of vacuum reading I get and also how stable and smooth it is. |
