but it could be the 2.5" that is holding it back.
and its not as tho its a mild setup why would he only use a 2.5" exhaust.

i dont have time to sift through 20 pages of posts, but what are the other supporting mods on this car?

if its just mild head work, cam, exhaust, tune? then yeah id call it a mild setup.

The ITBs are not a huge bolt on power upgrade, and from what ive read is not the purpose of this excercise, its more about doing something different. otherwise for the money he would be going forced induction...

by the way, im not bagging it...its good to see something different. i would love to see it work and make good power!

the ITB's will allow it to rev much easer the normal. and he says that he is after 180/200rwkw so it must not be as mild as you think.

180-200 is where I would like it to end up, might have to do another cam to get there, however i have seen cars make around 150+ with a milder cam than this one and less head work & still using the BBM.

It will all depend on how it all works together, but this is a long term project, i don't plan on getting rid of it any time soon.

The whole trial and error, development stuff is fun for me, yeah it costs money but so does sitting at the pub, or going out every night, but this is what i choose to do instead.

As has been said, if I was just after RWKW's there are plenty of turbo & SC solutions already sorted, but what fun is there in that.

if your going to replace your exhaust, might go with the 3" its not like its a down grade, on a std engine maybe a little overkill..
but on a mild set up it will be fine, and if you go more than mild then there is no need to upgrade the exhaust later...

Blown load is blown.

thats going to sound ace when fully tuned. Should sound real old school grumble!

Now whats it going to take to start making these as a kit? :P

Turbo might be faster but you cant turn left at the lights without someone dosing away nearby. This is epic work, actual craftsmanship rarely seen these days. The art of NA power requires a bit more dedication in my opinion, you know you arnt going to match forced fellas $ for $. This may well end up in a car mag methinks

Current cam specs are back on page 3 or 4, want to see how this one goes, drivability etc, before deciding on a billet.

That induction noise is great!! Would be excellent to hear when your heading up through some bendy hill climbs with the windows open. Very nice :D

There is a concrete bridge I go under on the test 'n' tune route, when going through under throttle the sound is amazing :D

I will try and remember to come back up home via Gorge Rd after the dyno and record the sound of the cliffs.

The Hysen tunnel on the Freeway would also be good.
