2nd video sounds not too bad though.

all in all, top effort. that motor is a work of art

I will try and get some footage from up in the hills, that's where it sounds the best, just need some acoustics.

If Adelaide had a quarter mile track, I'd be there tomorrow, wish ANDRA and Bob Jane would kiss and make up.

Might do a road trip to Melbourne next time I have holidays for a run.

BBM changeover point has a bucketload of spark removed from the map for some reason.

the BBM little flat spot has always annoyed me. I always end up in it unless I rev the gear out past its peak power. Ive always thought that a properly set up tuned length dealy like what dysfer has done could get good results, kudo's to him for making it a reality.

Only saw it on screen, looked similar in shape to the AFR on the printout.

They sound sweet at 6,100rpm, stock bottom end is 160,000kms with a new "street" balancer, didn't complain at all.

Im sure if sounds tuff mate. Can you hear it sucking in air under acceleration?
Whats next? Bigger cam,Bit more head work?

Kept under 2,000rpm with light throttle it is reasonably quite, but once the cam comes on, or when you open up the throttle it has a howl that gets louder up to about 4-4,000rpm, then changes pitch and sort of screams up to 6,000rpm, hard to explain, I will get some good on road video on the weekend once the clutch is done, (currently starts slipping around 4,000rpm).

If you don't mind me asking, what did it cost you to tune it? :)

$250 so far, I will sort it out a bit more over the next couple of weeks, then head back for another check, so probably about the same again.

So the LC1 Wideband has really paid for itself, being able to get it somewhere close on the road, saves for a lot of mapping time once it's on the rollers and the meter's on.

I find its much easier to get someone else to drive while you do the tuning. Its easier to say to someone "keep it at 3000 up this hill" than "it's pinging, take 2 degrees out at 3000 10inHG"!

Good work with the setup btw, looks great and the results speak for themselves. Peak power is coming on pretty late, have you thought about a vernier cam gear to flatten the curve a little?

Cheers,
Jason

Cheers

It has a vernier, but I want to get the tune sorted, then play with cam timing.
