Sounds nice. Youve done a fantastic job with this.

Sorry havent followed the whole thread.

When will you be dyno'ing this beast?

As im sure you are aware Brockyb8 made 208 RWKW with a similar induction setup. Obviously many factors will contribute but you know that this is good for a hell of a lot of power.

It has been on the dyno, 167.3rwkw.

throttle bodies do not make the power on a car the rest of the setup does.
imo they help but yeah they are one of many factors .
And mine and his setup are a little different . his setup is same as my old one

As Brockyb8 said, you won't make mass power just with the throttle bodies, at full throttle on a dyno there wouldn't be a huge lot in it, they can only maximise the available flow (head, cam).

For me it was about the throttle response, drivability, noise, look etc

I have to keep it reasonably drivable for now as it still is needed for daily duties, and this includes city traffic.

98% of the people on here wouldn't spend the money on them if they actually were available, even if they say they would now.

Got sick of wiping oil from the back of the rocker cover where the breather is, so finally got around to picking up all the rest of the stuff to finish the catch can. Just need to get some TIG electrodes tomorrow and all set :D

Wow some spare time, forgot what that is.. so I decided to re-do all the vacuum stuff on the car.

First up a new vacuum block to replace the vacuum rail, should tidy up things a bit.

Chunk of alloy and a heap of brake bleed nipples

All done, just polishing to go, I also need to make up a smaller one to replace the standard rubber spider block

Just fitted the new vacuum block, much better vacuum signal than the old rail, so good I loaded a MAP tune just to see how it would go, and it went pretty good, little stutter off idle, but clean revs above 1500rpm.
Realised once I got back from the test drive that the TPS needed setting with the new MAP tune, reset the TPS and it now free revs a lot cleaner than the TPS tune, you can pretty much crack the throttle 100% it there is no stutter or hesitation.

So I think it might be worth having a play with the MAP tune tomorrow.

As much as I like the TPS tune, it is always a bit rich at idle, whereas the MAP seems to let me keep good idle AFR's.

I think I need to do a few runs with each tune using the "Pocket Dyno" app on iPhone, and see which one pulls the best 60ft and 0-100kmph.

More tomorrow.

It has been on a while ago, been to busy at work to do anything worth putting it back on the rollers for yet.
The AFR's on the last run was pretty well spot on 12.8 all the way.

Finished the breather today, have put it over to the left for now until I figure out what to do with the air-con lines, then it will go at the back on the right.

I did a back to back AFR test using the LC1 with filters on and filters off it runs 0.5 AFR points richer with the filters on, so they do slightly affect the air tract.

Its come along nice i think the only thing that makes it look dreary is the Tappet Cover? maybe a paint job to make all the other work to stand out?

I sort of made the decision early, that until I was ready to weld and paint the engine bay, I wouldn't polish or finish all the alloy stuff, once it gets to that stage (or different engine) then everything will be painted and polished to within an inch of it's life.

It all gets too dirty at the moment being used as a daily rain, hail or shine.
