G'day all, I just got 4499's and a 2.5" redback system with a high flow cat and hotdog on my AU 2 Futura - lovin' the sound and noticeable power gain :D but wondering what the next step could be? Cam? Dif?

Appreciate any suggestions....

You can go with a simple K&N panel filter...maybe bit more money and get 3" intake, then upgrade your camshaft...if you want to launch faster, get a diff with higher gear ratios. If it's auto change to manual or just get a shift kit for the auto.

Cam. Will cost less than an intake if you can do it yourself, and give a much larger gain.

Thanks for the tips - i shoula mentioned i've already modified the cai and fitted a pod filter. From the sounds of things i might look at upgrading the cam as the next step towards making the old au a rival for my mate's HSV R8.....then diff, vct, shift kit, turbo etc etc etc

Thanks again

4.11 LSD diff gears

because you will still get good fuel economy, and factory driveability,...... but at the same time the car will feel alot stronger

my ef with 4.11's had the same fuel economy as my stock AU VCT with 3.45 diff

If you want to beat HSV's dont waste your time with this other stuff. Put a turbo on it straight away.

Gotcha, the cam then diff sounds like the go for what i want. 4.11 sounds pretty big? And yer, i've got no illusions about my n/a 6 being able to take on an r8!

at least not for now...

Thanks again
