ok 1thou is 0.0254mm

so we are taken out 40thou so i would say it would be 1.016mm (i did that by 40 x 0.0254)

we would take 1.016 out of all 6 bore's so your looking at 6.096 mm

i think i must of did something wronge coz that dont sound like much ......

guys get back to me

1 thou is exactly equal to:

0.001 international inches (1 international inch is equal to 1,000 thou)
0.0254 mm, or 25.4 μm (1 millimetre is about equal to 39.37 thou)

realistically, over sized pistons does equal phuk all, i think the standard rebuild oversizes go out to 30.
it's already stroked.
if your going forced induction just focus on making the bottom end bullet proof, a good matching head job & screw up the boost. more meat on the block the better. €
read an article a while back about a 4.1 xf turbo pulling somewhere round 600hp..... after splitting 3 blocks (and numerous gearboxes) ended up grout filling some of the block.
anyone know much bout grout filling ?
the standard good bare block with good machining within factory tolerances is still capable of alot of horse power when built right.

yes i do get ya when you say oversize does nothing i dont think it needs to be stroked its just it hasnt really been done and im just running ideas keep the engine std and bullet proof amd boost teh c**t boosting give 250-300hp whats the need for 20-25hp from stroking it see i have a std EB tickford xr6 head that i will be sending it off and working it off its tits to put on the au engine that i will be boosting i think the eb tickford head what the best of all the heads i could be wronge on that one but thats my option i dont even know if the rx6 head will fit on the AU but i will try it and see if it match's up

afaik it should fit, i prefer the el head, but i hear the late box car xrs aren't bad either, but if your gettin alot of head work done anyway the xr bit doesn't mean much anyway.
no1's done it 'yet' because it's not financially viable.
