hey people. my car was working fine, untill..

i flushed my radiator and changed the whole coolant, now i dont know if i put the wrong coolant in it or not?.. so ive re-flushed it and put water back in..
also, because i did a auto to manual conversion - i have resistors in my canon plug, i removed one and re-fitted it, only because, once in a blue moon, i was having problems the car turning off while driving..

anyhow, now when i start the car, it idle's very very bad - as if its gonna turn off, and when i rev the car, black smoke seems to be coming out of the exhaust - not alot - but noticible..
even when i drive the car, it doesnt run smoothly.. any idea's as what the problem is?

you didnt put tap water in there did you? I know it's sidetracking the issue but that's a recipe for disaster when the head gasket goes later this week!!!

did the ignition module or coil pack (depending on model) get wet doing the flush? could be a bit of moisture causing problem. have had modules fail at work after flush or engine wash presenting the same symptoms.

hey pplz, sorry havnt checked bak for a few days, but i figured out what the problem was finally, there is a plug which comes out of the dizzy, and connects to a black switch/box on the body of the car, that actually came lose wen i was working around that area, and was causing the smoke and the idle problem.. thanx for ur help :)

and no, i didnt put tap water in the radiator, lol i heard that can mess the engine up.. i put in some coolant..
