the car is a 95 ef falcon no mods have been done
as of late i have been getting this high idle problem the isc valve has been cleaned throttle body has been cleaned new spark plug leads and spark plugs have been done i tryed finding a vac leak but i couldn't find one the map sensor seems to be working like when you unplug it the engine stalls it will rev just over 1000rpm then drop back done to 650 for a sec after i gave it a rev and it happens when driving to when you come to a complete stop i just dont know whats wrong with it and it seems to be running rough so i can't think of anything else here is a vid http://s255.photobucket.com/albums/hh15 ... my tps was sitting on .94 then i adjusted it and only could get it to .97 so i assume i may need a new one

try drilling out the 2 fixing holes, this will allow you to rotate the TPS a little for adjustment. once the voltage is right, tighten up the screws....

first up. unplug the isc and start the car... if it idles over 600rpm your base idle is to high..
adjust your idle without the isc connected so it idles at aprox 550-600rpm, then plug the isc back in and start the car... otherwise just replace the tps.. you can drill it to adjust it but your full throttle value will then be out of range |

just fixed a very similar problem, leaking fuel injectors and a faulty HEGO was my culprit. If you drive for a while then stop and start the car shortly after does it bog down a bit?

no it doesn't bog down whats a hego
if its the headgasket you mean well that got done 4 years ago after the 4th time till we found the cause of why it did it and it was a blocked radiator after i replaced the radiator with a new i havn't had a problem since i stuck the timing light on and i need a new bottem pully |

Vacuum leak? can cause idle issue, high fuel consumption and rough idle. Is there a slight hissing sound in the cabin? If so you might have a vacuum leak at the vacuum distribution box thingy that controls the vents...located behind and under the glove box.

the only slight hissing noise i get is when i change the controls on the vent from face to feet for the cooler controls

might just need a tune.
take off the battery leads for 10 minutes put them on then drive up and down a straight stretch of road for 20min-1hr try not to stop might fix the problem |
