can anyone help my ef has developed an idle problem the car was left standing for a fortnight when i started it yesterday it wouldnt idle after driving it it started to idle ok but once shut off and restarted the engine wont idle until it has been running for a couple of mins if u let it go to idle it surges until it settles at idle or stalls

any info appriceated

have a look at all the other threads mate this is a comon e seris fault it seems give ya the s**t sometimes

Check The ISC dle speed controller, the thing on the throttle body.

i have been investigting my idle probs. removed isc and cleaned seems to work ok if disconected it stall when idling when i started the car it stalled straight away but i run it and if u keep foot on the go pedal u can run it at 500 rpm with out it stalling then once temp came up to normal it will idle if u rev it it drops back to about 350 400 rpm then will settle at 700rpm and idle fine
