Hi to all,
As you may have worked out with my past posts.
Ive been working on the vehicle for many hours and days.

To all you guys who experience , running rough at idle, and good at all other speeds , with the occcasional miss at road speed.
The problem has been nailed at long last.
The crank angle sensor that is mounted on the front of the timing cover was covered in soot.

Removed it from the vehicle and the eye was also covered.
I used some carby cleaner and some rags and got it squeky clean.

Reinstalled it and now runs as smooth as a clock.

Do try this as it is almost always overlooked .

That's a great, simple solution. If i had a dollar for every 6cylinder rough idle thread that was posted....

Some good work there.

Should be on the front of the engine, reads the teeth on the back of the harmonic balancer IIRC

I assume EF/AU only for this remedy...

To obs35n .

The sensor is on the timing cover, exactly above the harmonic balancer , in the middle.

It has 2 wires attached to it, undo the plug and get a 7 mil socket and ratchet and undo 2 bolts.

remove the sensor clean it, and then reinstall it.

hope that helps.
