ok i was in hervey bay going to see my mate i love in kingaroy

anyways i was going down to see him i get there after a 3 hour trip the falcon is sweet all of a sudden at the stop lights a couple blokes from his house my passanger pointed out smoke from in front of me .. my ignistion barrel had some how shorted out an started smoking the car shut down just as the lights tunred green :/ my luck there was a line up behind me ...

i tried starting it again but this time evem more smoke i turned the key off an it continued to smoke then the back of my ignition barrel popped off

after half an hour trying to line the thing back up an put in i finaly got it started how ever in stead of having 3 stages of ignition i have 2.. stage 1 engine on/not running stage.... stage 2 engine on motor running .... i have to manualy turn the key back to stage 1 so the starter motor isn't runing continuesly :/ lol

the barrel is held together by about roll of eletrical tape...



anyway my question is can i use my EB series 2 ignition barrel an key on my ea (which is completely convered to ef wire loom...[so pretty much can i use the eb s2 ignition barrel an key on an ef loom])

any insight would be fantastic instead of going buying a new barrel

i'll answer my own question just so that future researchers can find out

anyways after a couple of hours stuffin around with taken the car apart an making sure he plugs an stuff will fit i took a chisle an happer the the barrel of my eb to under the 2 topless bolts

after doing that i took it to my ea (which has COMPLETE ef wire loom)
i put it in car would cranck over but wouldn't start everything light up how it was ment to just no run

so i tried my luck at reseting the BEM-- put the key in barrel an turn to "on" smart lock light should be flashing fast when you doing this called learn mod

after half an hour or so the smart lock module( BEM?? ) made a sequence of stange noises an then the light stops flashing fast an i turned the key an fuel pump an stuff primed an i tried starting the car to my releif it fired up

hope this will help any other moders out there that needs this info in future times
