just as the topic says, the ignition fuse located in the engine bay next to the water tank for radiator ( its a 60A fuse) has blown up about 4 times in the last 5 days. actually it has blown up a couple of times and the other two times the fuse looked like it was alright but it had cooked up the outer plastic. my ignition barrel feels a bit funny when i turn the key, it gives me a feeling like something is grinding inside the barrel.
the accessories ( stereo, cig lighter etc. ) seem to stop working when i start the car and i have to turn the key back a fraction to get them going again. my guess is a crook ingnition barrel but i could be completely wrong on it. i need to get the car going ASAP so that i can get to work. i can't really afford to take it to a mechanic so i am planning a DIY on the situation and will need a bit of help. has anyone experienced or heard about this problem before ? any help will be greatly appreciated !! p.s. its a 1996 EF Falcon Sedan |

I had the same problem, had to turn the key back a fraction to get all the accesories back on, found out it was the ignition itself
