Where can i order Magnecore igition leads i need a set of Sprial cores and my mechanic reccomended this brand to me as they are real top quality stuff.
Does anyone know if Fordmods can order them from sponsers etc? Or if they have them avaliable. Cheers Andrew

xfan, get queensland ignition leads (spiral core leads) they come in diff colours too.. most definately the way to go, or bosch spiral core leads
good for the gas. |

I've been fairly happy with my Champion Heavy Duty Steel Leads, pretty sure there spiral core, and didn't cost a fortune. THere ment for taxis, lpg vehicles, 4Wd's, etc.
Next I'm trying Top Gun 10mm's though, only because they come in bright blue and only cost me $50ish. (and yes, I am aware of there bad reputation on here - but never had a problem with them in the few years they've been on moms car). |

i got my eagle 9mm the othre day they are light blue and look pretty big and tough. changed them same day as i change plugs (however plugs were already relatvely new, but leads were old old old) and straight away i had more responce. and they only cost 62.50.

http://www.magnecor.com.au/distrib.html i have had no prob with top gun heavy duty 8mm spiral core but i will not be getting them again as the boots are s**t, we had to push the lead into the boot with pliers just to get them on the plug.

good for the gas. LOL. Bosch. What a joke. Magnecore are awsome, they're expensive, and they LAST THE LIFE OF THE VEHICLE. Unlike any of the major brands that last about 20,000km realistically untill they start to degrade. There is a HUGE difference between spiral core leads. I suggest you read the magnecore link posted to get the truth on ignition leads as 99.99% of people get fed crap about ignition leads. You know, people get fed info like "You need a good low resistance leads so that more power goes through the plug" What a load of toss. Yeah sic thanks for that, i wasnt concerned about price of them as i know they are expensive anyway. $100 i believe a set costs. And i wont be going Top Gun as the guy who services my car is also a Hotrod builder and he is not impressed with the new design of Top Gun leads, so he reccommended that i get magnecore.
Thanks heaps for that i will chase them up.

I've used my 8mm Spiral Ice Ignition for about 12 months now and they seem fantastic, they are user friendly to not cutting yourself on the exhaust gasket when changing plugs (nice large grommet)
They're not expensive and have a pretty good rep. and also locally assembled. During my wrecking habbits I've found 90% of Cabs have these there must be a good reason. cheers

Yeah ive heard about them as well, ive just found a magnacore dearler here in SA so i will contact them tommorrow and see what they can get me.

the ice leads are dam good put some on my old ea before selling it to my mum and that was 2 years ago and still the car runs spot on no miss and heaps of power and no signs of degrading yet. and also was told by a few people they help when some cars have problems with lpg

Okay well if the magnecor leads end up tipping the $110 mark then i might see where i can order a set of those leads from. I need something thats gonna go good with the whole duel fuel thingy.
