hey guys, running a 96 ef xr6, 5 speed manual 4.0L Tickford, now..

my problem, when the car warms up i start to get an inconsistent misfire, doesnt happen all the time, and its not constant. it will drive fine for a while, then it will misfire for about 30s then go back to normal or if i open it up a little.

things i have changed so far,

fuel filter x1,
Coil pack,
plugs,
leads,
new oil.

any ideas on to help me fix this problem, it is driving me up the wall haha.

Get the car scanned for codes...if no codes present then try replacing crankshaft position sensor as these can play up when hot,especially as they get older.

no worries. thanks. engine was only rebuilt 35000km ago.
