I read somewhere that to increase air flow for the EF-EL and probbly alot of other models you can cut back the pipe wich enters your air box coming from the throttle body.
i read that ford made this pipe go into the box from one side and almost right to the other side and with a tappered shape to decrease noise, and i think the added length of pipe especially being tappered (gettin narrower) will decrease flow...and for a lil extra performance i dont care about a lil extra noise.... wats your opinion

The pipe to the middle is supposed to increase flow dispite getting narrow because it pics air up from the middle of the box instead of right at the edge.
Autospeed flow tested them and found that the EF airbox that pick up from the middle flow more than the AU that had it cut off and picks it up from the edge.
